Meet Rachel!
Hello! I’m Rachel Blackwell and I’m so excited to come into the Confident community. I’m a woman. I’m a mom. I’m a comedian. I’m a burlesque dancer. And I’m a boudoir photographer.
Burlesque has been such a transformative experience for me that I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I have been producing, directing, and performing in Fairbanks for over 15 years and I have always loved helping people step into their power. In every show, I welcome everyone to find the joy and self-love that I feel when I step out in front of a cheering audience. My favorite moments are watching the nervous woman who isn’t sure about even being there build herself up and step onto stage on opening night with passion and excitement. Burlesque is about being vulnerable enough to love yourself for every ounce of who you are and I cannot wait to bring that energy behind the camera as your new Confident photographer.
I have always been drawn to empowering women and encouraging everyone to embrace their natural sexuality. You are sexy and you have every right to celebrate that! I have struggled with my body image just like every woman I know and I too fight a battle to wake up every morning and love the woman looking back in the mirror. Our bodies may be full of imperfections but they are also full of strength and resilience and they deserve to be celebrated. They tell us where we’ve been and where we still can go. Every BODY deserves to be appreciated and loved. I want to help women see themselves for the gorgeous, sexy beasts that they are. Because sometimes we ALL need that reminder and I am here for you. Picking up a camera and showing you who you are feels so right for me. I want to be your cheerleader and your biggest fan to celebrate with you as you discover the power and beauty that has been inside of you all along. I am honored to take on this important work and I can’t wait to see you in the studio. We are going to have so much fun together!
I will be opening up Confident Call Sessions in a few short months and would be honored to capture you while I step into this new season of life! These sessions are designed to help me put my training with Olivia to work and build my portfolio! We will open applications and if you are chosen for the Confident Call you will get a HUGE once in a lifetime discount plus a kick ass experience with me as your photographer! Olivia will be there to help out as needed and to cheer us on too!
