The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session. I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number 1 priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! I have a few different image release options including: full image release, anonymous image release and no image release. It’s always your choice what you choose to do!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality and style! There are a ton of outfit ideas other than lingerie. I have lots of clients that choose to wear jeans, button up shirts, shorts, cardigans, sweaters, etc. If you need help styling outfits beforehand, I’m here to help!
Do you offer payment plans?
We offer a few different payment options to help you get what your heart truly desires; this is a once in a lifetime experience, babe! You’ll be required to pay a session retainer to book your session with us. The session retainer does not include any images or products - this strictly covers your experience. We do offer a few different amazing payment options for your images/products purchase so you can get your dream products!
We offer interest free in-house payment plans where you can split up your payments through us leading up to shoot in biweekly or monthly payments. The next options are PayPal Credit, Affirm, Klarna and AfterPay. When you apply and get approved for any of these payment options you’ll be paid in full with us but still get to take your time paying for your products (a lot of the options they offer are also interest free). The awesome thing about these options is that they are a one time use line of credit so you won’t be opening a new credit card and won’t be getting a hard inquiry on your credit report.
Is hair and makeup included?
Professional hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir sessions! We believe it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s a more natural vibe or the classic boudoir bedroom look with full glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
Do you Photoshop my images?
I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance, I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent. I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! We’re here to help tell your story - not hide it. Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means no photoshopping out parts of yourself that you might still be learning how to love. Our hope is that through this experience you accept yourself and every part of you more than you ever have before. If there are parts of yourself that you are learning to love and aren’t trilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine! Things that we will remove, however, are blemishes, bruises and any makeup cleanup that needs to happen!
Where should I buy outfits?
You’re in luck! We have an extensive client closet of over 300 outfits in sizes XS-6XL for you to borrow from for your photoshoot! You’ll be required to bring a pair of black or nude colored undies to wear underneath the pieces (in addition to this requirement we also wash and sanitize everything with a professional dry cleaning service). We do recommend bringing a couple of pieces that you love though just incase! What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of luxury albums, matted print boxes, collector’s items like the crystal block and retro viewfinder, sleek metal wall art and more! You won’t find products with the options and quality of ours at snapfish or shutterfly. Our albums are handbound in Portugal. Trust me, you’re going to want to see yourself in our products and display yourself as the piece of art that you are.

Do you offer digitals?
Yes! We offer two digital collections - 30 digital images and your full digital gallery. Additionally you can opt into a collection where you get both a physical product plus your digitals! Most clients go with a collection that has an album and their full digital gallery so they don’t have to leave anything behind. All online galleries are protected and available for you to download on your own computer.
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous; you’re heading into a lingerie photoshoot with a stranger essentially! The hardest part is going to be walking through the studio door the day of your session. After that we’re going to get to know each other while you get glammed up and I’m going to be your bestie for the day and #1 hype girl! I promise!
How many outfits should I bring?
This depends on our images/products collection you choose. Each experience includes 2 outfits for the bedroom and living room set. However, depending on which collection you prepay for you will get another outfit change (or two!).
Should I get to my shoot early?
Usually showing up early is a good idea but for the day of your photoshoot we want you there at your scheduled time and no earlier! Of course a minute or two is fine but we’re usually still getting the studio ready up until you arrive so please don’t arrive early! Showing up is definitely inevitable sometimes so If you do, please wait in your car until it’s time - play your fav songs to pump you up while you wait!
Where is your studio located?
We are located off of Airport Way in Fairbanks, Alaska! We love our community and all the magic that the Golden Heart City holds!
