You booked a couples session!
Now what?

I’m so excited to have you in front of the camera again but this time for a spicy couples session! To be honest, I never thought that I would offer couples boudoir again after a bad experience a few years ago. One person has to ruin it for everyone, right? I dipped my toes back into it a couple years ago though and with some strict boundaries and knowing clients beforehand… it’s been so much fun!! :) To have an amazing past client like you in the studio for it makes it already feel much more comfortable and I hope that you feel comfortable as well before even stepping foot in the studio again!

While I love doing couples, it can easily turn into an uncomfortable situation if all parties aren’t on the same page. That’s where this guide and prep works come in!

Please make sure to review everything in this short guide with your partner. It will ensure that we have the best experience possible!

What to wear & How to arrive:

Ladies: You’ll have access to the client closet just like your solo boudoir experience so please make sure to bring with a nude or black thong & feel free to bring any pieces that you own and love too! I’ve really been diggin jeans or shorts lately if that’s your vibe!

Please arrive to the studio with clean, dry hair and a clean, moisturized face and our hair and makeup artist will be ready to glam you up!

Men: I think that a laid back look is best for sessions like this but it doesn’t hurt to bring with a dressier option as well if that is something you’d like! After all dress pants and a tie can be super fun for a little 50 shades of grey moment ;) I’d suggest bringing a pair of blue jeans, nice sweatpants (who doesn’t love a grey sweatpants moment?) and a white or gray shirt (no distracting colors, patterns or logos please). Or a flannel shirt, etc. Whatever you feel comfortable in but I’d mostly suggest keeping it a neutral color and no distracting patterns. Also make sure to have a nice pair of boxers or briefs underneath (Calvin Klein or something similar looks great) and no socks. We will start out shooting in the shirt & jeans then work our way to shirt/pants off if you’re comfortable. This is a zero pressure space as always so if you want to keep your shirt/pants on that is absolutely okay as well!

Please arrive to the studio with however you would like to have your hair styled. You can either arrive in your outfit(s) or you can change into it at the studio.

How it works:

Your couples session is going to be very similar to your solo experience that we had together! It will be very posed and as your photographer, I will tell you exactly what to do from start to finish. While the photos will look spicy, the process and photoshoot itself is not exactly spicy haha. I’ll put you in a pose and direct you while you hold the pose and I shoot. We will likely do around 50+ poses!

Ground Rules:

As mentioned previously in this guide, I had a bad experience a few years ago. The rules outlined below are going to be enforced and if at any point in time they are broken, or I feel uncomfortable then the session will end and you’ll be asked to leave & no refunds will be given. I don’t believe that will happen as every client that is doing a couples session now is already vetted through me through your previous session (which means I KNOW that you’re an amazing person and client <3). However, I do have to say this so we are all on the same page. While there are rules here, I want all of us to still have fun of course! This is a fun bonding experience for you and your partner to enjoy together after all!

Rules:

  • No inappropriate comments.

    • I always welcome words of affirmation to each other as partners - you should of course be able to compliment each other especially in such an intimate space! That is A-OKAY! Love each other and laugh and give compliments!

    • Comments that are unwelcome would be: asking to have the room alone for 15 minutes, asking or joking about doing sexual acts & me photographing, talking about your favorite sex positions, etc. I have to say & clarify all of this because it has happened. I photograph spicy content but I’m a regular human, wife, mom, etc. with boundaries. The last thing I want is to feel uncomfortable around people who I view as friends during their session. Thank you for understanding this firm boundary.

  • Everything is posed.

    • As I mentioned, everything that we do is “suggestive” which means that while in the photo it will look like something is happening or is spicy but in reality it is in fact not actually happening. I’ll tell you both what to do the entire time including where to put your hands, when to kiss, where to look, etc. Everything from start to finish will be directed by me as your photographer.

    • Please do not hijack the session and begin doing inappropriate things (such as making out or grabbing each others body parts). The session will immediately stop if you do so.

I hate that I have to lay all of this out in rules but I have to say it considering the things mentioned actually happened from a male client I did not know and it was a really bad experience for me where I felt unsafe. It hasn’t happened since then now that I only offer it to past clients that I personally know but again I have to say it to cover all of our basis and make sure we have a great session! As mentioned above, I fully expect that you will have fun, kiss each other and give endless compliments to one another because you’re hotties!

Timeline:

9:00am: Arrive to the studio for professional hair and makeup. Please arrive with a clean, moisturized face and clean, dry hair. Hair and makeup will take roughly 60-90 minutes. Your partner is more than welcome to sit with you during hair and makeup or they can arrive to the studio around 10:00am when hair and makeup is wrapping up. Either one is totally fine!

10:30am: Choose your outfits! You are more than welcome to bring any outfits or borrow from the client closet! I have so many outfit choices for you to choose from! Please bring a nude or black thong if you’d like to borrow anything from the client closet.

10:45am: Time to start photographing! This will last about 30-90 minutes depending on which collection you choose. Things will move a bit slower than a solo session because we’re working with two people but we are going to get a ton of fire content!

After your session wraps up, if you chose the 20 or 30 digital image collection than you will see your gallery roughly 30 minutes after your session! At that time you’ll see the unretouched (but color corrected) images and choose your 20 or 30. If you prepaid for one of the collections with the full digital gallery than you won’t have a same day image reveal and we will get to work editing your full gallery right away! Please allow for up to 72 hours for your gallery to be fully retouched and delivered. It will likely be complete the same day but sometimes extenuating circumstances happen!
